About Foundation
The Foundation series is a science fiction book series written by American author Isaac Asimov. It tells the story of a group of scientists who seek to preserve knowledge and reduce the dark age after the fall of the Galactic Empire.

Additional Information
While the first five books were written in chronological order, the last two are prequels. Some readers prefer to read in publication order, while others choose to read in the series' internal chronological order, starting with the prequels.
